In case we develop the course for open market (including the scenario whereby the course has been developed for a specific corporate customer but with the right to re-sell it on the market), then – as a rule – we create the content together with the leading subject matter experts in the theme of the course, or in close collaboration with a training company specializing in that particular thematic area.
If the customer is providing their own information materials, while the use of other (3rd party) materials is not envisaged, then we’re talking not about developing the content per se, but rather – about its adequate conversion in order to present on the screen in the smartest and most optimal way as well as to manage the student’s focus and attention with the use of modern methodologies and techniques. We have leading Methodists and Psychologist Consultants in our staff who perform those tasks.
We can change colors in the course in accordance with your corporate standards and style as well as put in your logo. The possibility of deeper customization can be discussed with the Director of our Corporate Projects Department.
When buying a standard off-the-shelf course from our catalog, the customer receives ordinary (non-exclusive) license on the use of the product. Similar scheme is applied to those joint projects with the customer, where we develop non-specialized courses which may represent interest to other clients – in this case, we put the course into our catalog while the customer receives ordinary (non-exclusive) license. The ordinary license assumes the right for the customer to use the course freely at their discretion – with the purpose of training their personnel, bit doesn’t have the right to sell, publicly share, copy it, etc. We don’t grant exclusive rights on the courses from our calatlog.
Yet, if the course has been developed specifically for a particular customer, then – in accordance with the legislation – exclusive license on this course belongs to that customer in its full volume. We usually agree with the customer the right for us to show no more than 10% of the course for the purpose of marketing.
No, our courses from off-the-shelf ready products’ catalog are intended only for corporate education and are integrated directly into the systems of distance learning.
These are international standards in which the following items have been specified:
- Format of the courses description which allows to easily import the courses;
- Communication protocol with the distance learning system which allows to save the student’s scores upon the course completion and progress.
Our courses support the SCORM and xAPI (Tin Can API) standards, and therefore can be installed/integrated into any system of distance learning that support those standards.
Yes, we do. We have extensive experience of installing/integrating our courses into all the systems of distance learning, which are represented on the Russian market, including Web Tutor, Mirapolis, MOODLE, SAP SuccessFactors LMS, Teachbase, etc.
The courses from our catalog, i.e. which have been developed for open market, are designed for integration into a distance learning system (DLS). Custom developed courses can be made without the need to integrate them into DLS, including such formats as disks or web sites.

Pricing policy of SkillSoft doesn’t assume the purchase of courses for unlimited number of users. This is a common practice for most multinational companies, which is quite understandable and justified – because each year you can buy new courses required to address your training plan needs for the current year. In this manner you can flexibly fine tune and adapt your SkillSoft courses’ library for real needs, requirements and requests of your employees.
Yes, we have such service available – it is used by those entrepreneurs and companies who don’t have distance learning system. The cost of education at our learning portal http://edu.nd.ru for 1 course during 3 months is 1700 Roubles. The user registration-on-the-portal fee (charged once from each user) is 300 Roubles.
